Alternate Airports:
In addition to Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA), travelers may use King County International Airport (BFI), located only 8–9 miles from downtown Seattle with a typical drive of 15–20 minutes. BFI is convenient for private, charter, and select regional flights.
Another alternative is Paine Field (PAE) in Everett, located about 30–35 miles north of Seattle with a 40–60 minute drive. PAE offers a smaller, modern terminal with limited but growing commercial service.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR): Some cruisers arriving from international destinations or completing a Canadian Rockies land tour may opt to fly into Vancouver, BC. YVR is approximately 140 miles (225 km) north of Seattle, with a travel time of about 2.5–3 hours by car or shuttle, plus a U.S.–Canada border crossing. Rail options such as Amtrak Cascades also connect Vancouver to Seattle, offering a scenic and convenient transfer route for cruise passengers.
