Repositioning Cruises

Repositioning Cruises

Repositioning cruises are itineraries rather than regions, sailing as ships move from one seasonal deployment to another. A repositioning cruise takes place worldwide and often includes longer routes, more sea days, and a broader mix of ports than a typical cruise itinerary. For North American travelers, the most familiar repositioning cruises are transatlantic cruises between Europe and the Caribbean or Canada, generally offered eastbound in the spring and westbound in the fall. Panama Canal repositioning cruises connect the Caribbean with Alaska, sailing westbound in spring and eastbound in fall. Repositioning cruises also link Asia and Alaska, following the same seasonal eastbound and westbound cruise patterns.
